SuaraKita.org – Moonlight dinobatkan sebagai film of the year oleh Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association (GALECA) , yang terdiri dari lebih dari 170 kritikus film, TV dan wartawan hiburan di Amerika Serikat, Kanada dan Inggris, pada kamis lalu di acara tahunan Dorian Awards.
Film Moonlight juga terpilih menjadi film LGBTQ terbaik pada tahun ini dan memenangkan beberapa penghargaan lain seperti sutradara terbaik, aktor terbaik dan pendatang baru terbaik.
La La Land terpilih menjadi Visually Striking Film of the Year, sementara The Dressmaker, yang di bintangi oleh Kate Winslet, dinobatkan menjadi Campy Flick of the Year. Dalam kategori TV, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story produksi stasiun televisi FX terpilih menjadi Drama of The Year. Acara perayaan bagi para pemenang akan diadakan pada 18 Februari mendatang di Hollywood, California.
